KIANA WOO


Kiana Woo (she/her) is a Dora Award winning Chinese-Canadian actor, mover and creator with a special love for clown, physical theatre, and classical works. She attained her BFA in Acting from the University of Alberta and has since had the privilege of working across Canada, spending time in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto. Kiana spent the past year in Niaragra-on-the-lake as an ensemble member for the Shaw Festival. During her time there she was able to further her training while performing as Lucy in Prince Caspian which gave her the chance to connect with young minds and theatre makers. Some of Kiana’s creation works include her long-form clown solo, Inga and the Date and Hello Chinese, an exploration of mixed-race identity through the lens of mahjong, which is currently in development. In her free time, she enjoys running, climbing, and various knit and crochet projects.
