Triple Dora-award-winning playwright-performer d’bi.young anitafrika was born and raised in Kingston Jamaica. Creator of the Anitafrika Method and founding artistic director of Watah Theatre, d’bi.young’s current projects include conducting a global funding campaign to establish Ubuntu! Decolonial Arts Centre in Costa Rica, publishing dubbin theatre (a collection of their plays) and completing their PhD on Black womxn’s theatre in Canada.
