Tumbling Into Light

The Flying Bulgars

January 31, 2010
Tickets: $20 - $30

The Flying Bulgars (3-time JUNO nominees) take their game to a whole new level by
setting the music of David Buchbinder and Dave Wall in a multimedia performance
extravaganza. They've invited choreographer Andrea Nann (Michael Ondaatje, Gord
Downie), filmmaker Bruce McDonald (Highway 61, The Tracey Fragments), designer
Lorenzo Savoini (Soulpepper, Stratford) and musical guests Richard Underhill and
John Millard out to play; together they are creating a unique world that will take
audiences on an emotional ride they won't soon forget.

DB Works is pleased to present this show in association with Toronto’s WinterCity Festival, Small World Music, the Young Centre for the Performing Arts and Andrea Nann Dreamwalker Dance.

TUMBLING INTO LIGHT

THE FLYING BULGARS

"A wild and inspiring batch of beautifully crafted, beautifully played tunes. What's more, the Bulgars have created their own genre (pop/klezmer agitprop?)!"
-Jason Collett, singer-songwriter

"With Tumbling Into Light the Flying Bulgars shatter the walls of their own beloved genre...keep[ing] the best parts high in the mix: melancholy, furiousness, deep ancestral summoning and total Ginsbergian fools' joy."
- Andrew Whiteman, (BSS, Apostle of Hustle)
