July 29, 30 and 31st, 2010 at 8pm
Tickets: $29; Rush tickets: $20

By Canadian Composers: Fuhong Shi, John Rea and Pierre Klanac

In this new chamber opera, the vulnerable texture of soprano, mezzo-soprano and accordion creates a delicate and highly refined sound world, resulting in an intense, sensual and fragile experience. A Triptych comprising three interconnected operas linked to create one, fully staged production, inspired by the eternal theme of love. The texts come from three different cultures and periods, and will be sung in Mandarin, English and French.

Queen of Puddings Music Theatre

Toronto’s award winning Queen of Puddings Music Theatre burst onto the arts scene in 1995 with its forward-thinking, absorbing, fantastical approach to the tradition we know as classical opera. Founded by musicians John Hess and Dáirine Ní Mheadhra, the company develops, produces and tours original Canadian chamber opera/music-theatre works.
