A Raisin in the Sun

Soulpepper Theatre

October 15 – November 15, 2008
Tickets: $28 – $65

USA, 1959
Weyni Mengesha (’Da Kink in My Hair, Soulpepper Academy 2006 – 2008) directs the seminal African American play by Lorraine Hansberry that examines, with a big open heart, the plight of a Black family in Chicago’s Southside in the 1950s. The good news is that this play retains all of its original beauty. Sadly the play has not lost its relevance.
